Less generator runtime
Small loads such as lighting, tools, communications and monitoring are often run from diesel generators for hours at a time. A battery can carry those loads, with a generator running only to recharge it.

Hybrid Power Solutions supplies portable battery power to mining operations that want to cut generator runtime, fuel use and emissions at remote sites. Established mining customers have come back for more Batt Pack Pro units, and a distributor serving mining, construction and remote projects carries the Batt Pack Energy range.
The opportunity
Canada’s Critical Minerals Strategy is backed by up to $3.8 billion in federal funding, according to Natural Resources Canada. The strategy notes that northern and remote mining operations, which often lack a grid connection, are ideal for renewable and alternative energy, including energy storage, according to the Canadian Critical Minerals Strategy.
Canada’s current approach also puts more weight on dual-use minerals that feed both commercial and defence supply chains, according to the Government of Canada. That is the same pairing HPS serves: power for the mine face and for the front line.
Government programs are market context only. They are not a forecast of HPS orders or revenue.
Pipeline figures are from the fiscal 2026 results release (as at September 22, 2026) and include quoted opportunities that are not firm orders and may not convert to revenue in the amounts or on the timing expected.

Why battery power
Small loads such as lighting, tools, communications and monitoring are often run from diesel generators for hours at a time. A battery can carry those loads, with a generator running only to recharge it.
Fewer generator hours can mean less diesel bought, hauled and burned on site, and lower local emissions.
Battery power is silent at the point of use and has fewer moving parts to service than a small generator.
The same Batt Pack products serve defence, construction, rental and off-grid customers, so mining demand builds on a proven product line.

Investor questions
No. Hybrid Power Solutions Inc. (CSE: HPSS) is a power technology company, not a mining or exploration company. It supplies portable battery and hybrid power to mine sites, as well as to defence, construction, transit and off-grid customers. For mining investors, it is a supplier to the sector rather than a resource owner.
Yes. In February 2026 HPS announced eight Batt Pack Pro units in repeat purchases from established mining customers, and in September 2025 it made a first sale to a mining technology company based in Oakville, Ontario.
Announced mining orders have been for the Batt Pack Pro and Batt Pack Energy portable power packs. Kiikew Renewables carries Batt Pack Energy units for mining, construction and remote projects, and in July 2026 placed a C$370,000 order for Spark hybrid units for B.C. construction sites. Specifications are on the HPS product website.
At remote sites, small loads are often powered by diesel generators that run for long periods. A battery or hybrid system can carry those loads silently and let the generator run only to recharge, which can reduce fuel use, maintenance and on-site emissions.
Mining is an early-stage market for HPS. In the fiscal 2026 results, mining was included in a C$4.9 million “other” category of the approximately C$19.3 million sales pipeline. Pipeline figures include quoted opportunities that are not firm orders.
